How do Publishers define “Digital Transformation” in 2017?  In the new Frankfurter Buchmesse White paper 25 publishers from the sectors of education, trade, and scientific, technical and medical publishing (STM) were interviewed earlier this year by Imbue Partners in order to gain insights about five core elements in the journey of digital transformation:

  • content storage
  • metadata
  • content agility
  • discoverability
  • collaboration.

Of these elements, metadata was chosen as the top business priority.
